Months 7-13

In the second half of the baby’s first year babies move to change their place in space. Through the baby’s self-initiated actions in cross-lateral creeping and transitions to independent walking babies explore their environment developing a spatial awareness of their expanding world.

Baby Movement Research

All videos and photo vignettes are presented using ABA’s integrated framework of the 3E’s embodied movement, expressive communication, and exploratory learning vignettes. In ABA’s Locomotion program online participants will learn to:

Integrate a developmental movement framework and vocabulary.
Analyze 20 edited short videos that develop observation skills.
Identify 4 Developmental Movement Patterns and learn the significance of the patterns.
Apply a preverbal communication framework to identify the baby’s expressive cues.
Use 11 parent-baby interactive and age appropriate developmental activities to enhance the parent-baby relationship.

Certification of Locomotion Program Completion will be provided.
